Requirements

At least 5+ years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing or production environment
Experience with fabrication, electrical assembly, or a related field
Proven experience in a training or leadership role
Skilled at designing training programs and delivering effective instruction
Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, including the ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and manage a comprehensive technical training program, creating structured learning paths for various manufacturing roles from new hires to experienced employees
Continuously improve training to meet evolving workforce needs and align with industrial trends
Directly train employees on core manufacturing processes, including sheet metal fabrication, powder coating, electrical component assembly, switchgear integration, electrical wiring, and equipment operation, ensuring consistent SOPs and safety protocols
Develop engaging training materials such as video tutorials, written manuals, and hands-on exercises, and update them regularly
Maintain accurate training records, certifications, and completion data
Implement a system for assessing employee skills through practical tests and certifications to support internal mobility and career progression
Collaborate with department managers to identify skill gaps and future training needs, using data and metrics to measure program effectiveness
Work with Corporate Learning & Development to integrate new tools and company-wide initiatives
Champion employee development to support retention, engagement, and reduce turnover
Create a positive new employee onboarding culture for manufacturing employees, partnering with corporate teams to provide necessary tools and systems from day one, and represent manufacturing needs to corporate teams
