Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Controls Engineering or a directly related field, demonstrating a strong foundation in technical concepts. They should also exhibit exceptional customer service orientation, capable of providing support to both internal and external customers. Furthermore, experience with remotely supporting systems through various connection methods, such as Remote Desktop, SSH, and browser access, is essential.
The Technical Support Engineer will evaluate documented resolutions, analyze trends to prevent future problems, and handle incoming help requests through multiple channels including telephone, email, and online CRM. They will apply diagnostic utilities, access online resources for problem resolution, perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level, test fixes, and conduct post-resolution follow-ups. Additionally, the role involves developing help sheets and knowledge base articles, performing backups, OS and application patching, executing maintenance scripts, monitoring site IT infrastructure, and providing on-call support coverage for customers, alongside other duties as assigned.
