Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required, with a Bachelor’s / Engineering degree in medical, electrical, mechanical, or medical technology being preferred. Candidates should possess a proven track record in a similar position, supported by management and customer references, and successful engagement with customers, specifically key stakeholders, and lab staff. Excellent product and industry knowledge, experience and process skills of the business functions service delivery, excellent communication skills, and the ability to identify and drive resolution of issues are also required. Technical expertise for product line responsibility, coaching and training skills, and experience in using analytical tools and software are necessary.

Responsibilities

The Technical Service Specialist will be responsible for providing support to the customer base by handling installations and deinstallations, performing repairs, instrument hardware or software upgrades, and providing basic training to customers and Abbott Ambassadors. They will schedule and perform planned maintenance (PM) activities, conduct new customer and laboratory site inspections, assist with IQOQ procedures, and schedule and perform hardware and software updates. Furthermore, they will deliver basic customer operator introductory trainings and perform basic technical coaching and training to other Technical Service Specialists.
