Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in engineering, biology, chemistry, or a related field, or equivalent work experience and knowledge. A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience with related science, engineering, and/or customer skills is required. Strong technical, electro-mechanical, and laboratory knowledge, along with effective communication skills both oral and written, are also necessary. Sound logic and judgment in setting work priorities, strong organizational and administrative skills, and the ability to use effective questioning to identify customer needs are essential qualifications.
The Field Service Engineer will perform customer installs, repairs, and preventative maintenance on various instruments within an assigned territory, positively interacting with customers to solve technical problems and identify areas for improvement. They will provide onsite installation, upgrades, and repairs, achieve revenue targets, collaborate with internal partners to resolve customer issues, and follow reporting responsibilities. Additionally, the FSE will complete Qualification & Validation Products, maintain technical competency, and may be required to perform other related duties as assigned, including traveling to customer sites and working in a laboratory environment.
