Position Overview

These solutions aim to unify software platforms to enhance workflow efficiency, improve patient outcomes, patient care, patient safety, and strengthen patient engagement. This specific role will concentrate on Nurse Call, RTLS, and Patient Engagement Systems.

Your Role at Baxter

As a Clinical Solutions Architect (CSA), you will be instrumental in supporting sales partners by developing technical, functional, and clinical capabilities for Baxter's Care Communications products. You will work collaboratively within the Clinical Solutions Architect Team, providing regional coverage across the United States and offering cross-region support during peak demand. This role reports to the Clinical Solutions Architect Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Sales partners to define solution scopes that align with customer needs and expectations for the Baxter Care Communications portfolio.
  • Partner with key internal stakeholders to deliver first-pass yield of Nurse Call Solution Designs and Quotes.
  • Conduct onsite facility walkthroughs to validate the scope of clinical and ancillary departments against provided facility drawings.
  • Review proposed solution designs with internal and external customers to ensure accuracy and comprehensive scope.
  • Foster positive relationships with internal partners throughout the development of Statements of Work, Quotes, Change Orders, and Concessions, from inception to closure.
  • Develop and maintain Statement of Work language to support project initiatives.
  • Provide supporting deal documentation to Order Management, Service Delivery Teams, and other relevant departments.
  • Assist with internal and external customer communication, education, and presentations.
  • Identify, support, and promote opportunities for continuous improvement in the Solution Design & Quoting processes to meet internal and external expectations without compromising quality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BS or equivalent experience) in healthcare, computer science, IT, or other relevant fields.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a sales engineer, implementation engineer, system administrator, architect, or project management role, preferably within the healthcare industry.
  • Familiarity with clinical technology systems that support patient care and patient safety initiatives.
  • Ability to work to deadlines, manage workload through prioritization, and possess a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of IT networks, servers, and infrastructure.
  • Travel: Approximately 50% travel required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with and ability to read and understand complete construction drawings, including architectural, structural, FEE, IT, and MEP scopes.
  • Experience working with a general contractor, electrical contractor, or low-voltage contractor.
