Requirements

  • Hands-on experience managing IT systems in fast-paced or startup-like environments
  • Substantial experience with macOS, Windows, and Linux—and comfortable learning the others
  • Experience supporting identity systems and SaaS tools (Okta, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, etc.)
  • Exposure to and some hands-on experience with cloud environments like AWS, Azure, or GCP—including servers, networking, security, and databases
  • Working knowledge of networking, VPNs, and firewall configuration
  • Exposure to scripting (Python, bash, PowerShell, etc.) and an eagerness to automate
  • Excellent troubleshooting instincts—able to quickly isolate issues across hardware, software, or networking layers
  • Clear communicator who collaborates well with technical and non-technical teammates alike
  • High technical curiosity—you enjoy jumping into unfamiliar systems and learning fast
  • Able to independently execute IT systems engineering tasks, including system design, deployment, and maintenance, ensuring reliable performance with minimal oversight

Responsibilities

  • Manage and automate identity and access systems—Okta for SSO and MFA, plus group membership, directory sync, and lifecycle management
  • Triage and resolve IT support tickets—ranging from VPN issues to laptop fixes—with urgency and empathy
  • Support end users across macOS, Windows, and Linux—including automation, patching, and secure provisioning
  • Support infrastructure across on-prem and cloud environments—including virtual servers, DNS, network access, and cloud storage
  • Support and maintain data storage and transfer solutions to meet the evolving needs of engineering, design, and operations teams
  • Support SaaS platform access, configuration, and vendor escalations across the company
  • Manage and maintain site-wide domain names and DNS services
  • Maintain and improve physical access systems (badge access) and A/V systems (conference rooms)
  • Write and maintain scripts to automate system tasks, reduce manual intervention, and improve IT responsiveness
  • Partner with engineering teams to streamline build/test workflows and integrate with CI/CD and high-performance compute resources
  • Maintain documentation and tooling for systems administration, configuration management, and disaster recovery
