Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in IT Systems Administration, IT Infrastructure Engineering, or DevOps roles, with expert-level troubleshooting knowledge of Windows, Linux distributions, and macOS. A working knowledge of networking protocols, VPNs, firewalls, and network security is required, along with deep experience in enterprise identity management, SSO implementations, and directory services. Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation and experience in a startup environment are also necessary. Preferred qualifications include relevant certifications, experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, Bash), experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions, background in high-availability system design and scalable architecture, experience or interest in robotics, IoT, or edge computing, and knowledge of compliance frameworks such as SOC2, ISO 27001, GDPR, CCPA, or NIST 63-B.
The IT Systems Administrator will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise IT infrastructure, including NAS servers, networks, IT cloud platforms, and security systems. They will serve as an escalation point for complex technical issues, implement and maintain identity management systems, SSO solutions, and directory services, and develop no-code automation solutions to streamline operations. This role involves leading major IT projects such as system migrations, infrastructure upgrades, and security implementations, as well as designing and maintaining disaster recovery and business continuity plans. The administrator will collaborate with security teams on cybersecurity measures, monitor system performance and capacity, mentor junior IT staff, and support both corporate IT infrastructure and specialized systems for autonomous robot operations. Documenting architectural decisions, system configurations, and operational procedures is also a key responsibility.
