Position Overview
This position performs scheduled tasks, including ad-hoc/projects for overall demand & supply planning, logistics, and customer service activities through product/information flows. The role focuses on key metrics, compliances, and supporting business growth. Responsibilities include ensuring the timely supply of goods, maintaining the accuracy of inventory records (including product returns), managing short UBD & inactive inventories, driving the monthly Sales & Operations (S&OP) Planning Process, and executing/monitoring all supply & distribution planning activities. The goal is to ensure timely material availability while meeting inventory targets, minimizing obsolescence, and optimizing costs.
Responsibilities
Demand Planning & Forecasting
- Lead monthly S&OP review meetings, challenging assumptions and numbers to solicit functional knowledge and improve forecast accuracy.
- Submit periodic Net Requirement Forecast through SAP, based on cross-functional discussions, sales forecast analyses, new product launches, and phase-in/out schedules.
- Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, regulatory, global planning, and local supply chain teams to provide an accurate demand signal.
Supply Planning
- Review and manage STOs generated by the system, minimizing manual processes.
- Place manual STOs when required.
- Follow up and expedite shipments with distribution centers, factories, and suppliers.
- Determine and maintain SNP parameters in SNP.
Customer Order Fulfillment
- Manage all customer service activities for assigned business units, including:
- Customer purchase receiving
- Sales order creation
- Delivery date maintenance
- Backorder management
- Credit limit checks
- Invoicing and credit memo communications
- Distribution coordination with 3PL/Warehouse
- Monthly sales closing
- Maintain customer/pricing master data and ensure accurate system transactions and related communications for corrections.
- Handle customer queries, product complaints, recalls, and exchanges.
- Prepare shipping documents (invoice/packing list/others) as required by L/C.
- Resolve customer complaints to satisfaction and proactively identify root causes to prevent recurrence.
- Generate order and invoice reports as required.
- Work closely with regulatory to ensure proper licenses are valid for distribution.
Inventory Management
- Act on short UBD, inactive inventory, and phase-in/phase-out situations, communicating with business partners to minimize negative cost impact.
- Manage reverse logistics, including PER, Returns for repairs, and Warranty.
- Coordinate periodic inventory counts, including field inventory.
- Reconcile and close discrepancies in ERP against WH/3PL/field inventory.
- Communicate implementation plans (and relevant changes) to geographies consistent with marketing & integrated business plans.
- Ensure inventory policies & LBE targets are met. Collaborate with commercial, marketing, and finance teams to create effective inventory controls.
- Monitor safety stock and reorder points without compromising customer service levels.
- Contribute to phase-in/phase-out processes for assigned product lines.
- Monitor DOH and drive DOH reduction.
- Coordinate inventory allocation and/or transfer during times of supply constraint or excess.
Reporting
- Create reports on sales/demand forecast accuracy, run-rate, inventory, short UBD, expiry, etc.
- Maintain forecasts and planning factors in the demand planning system.
Continuous Improvement
- Execute continuous improvement initiatives focusing on supply chain processes.
- Drive inventory optimization and DOH for cost savings.
- Provide training to team members to enhance the quality of work.
