Job Description: Mento Coach - Strategy & Operations

Position Overview

Mento is seeking experienced senior leaders in strategy & operations roles to join our team as coaches. We are looking for individuals passionate about learning, growth, and community, with a strong desire to develop and coach others. As a Mento coach, you will partner with members to help them achieve their professional and personal goals, including leadership development, effective communication, problem-solving, and overall workplace fulfillment.

About the Role

As a Mento coach, you will form 1:1 partnerships with our members to help them:

  • Identify and track clear goals.
  • Become better leaders.
  • Communicate more effectively.
  • Problem-solve issues at work.
  • Feel happy, fulfilled, and engaged at work and beyond.

All Mento coaches, regardless of prior coaching experience, are required to complete our ICF-certified coach training program. This immersive program teaches Mento’s coaching methodology, enhances coaching skills, and provides access to proprietary tools. Graduates will earn Continuing Coach Education Units.

Responsibilities

Your routine responsibilities will include:

  • Providing 1:1 coaching to Mento members through virtual sessions using the Mento Platform and Tools.
  • Participating in ongoing training sessions to improve coaching abilities and skills.
  • Communicating with members via your Mento email or through the Mento App chat between sessions.
  • Being an integral part of the Mento coaching community by sharing coaching tools and insights to enhance coaching practices and fulfill Mento's mission.
  • Acting with kindness, respect, and empathy as an ambassador of the Mento community.

Who You Are

  • A director, vice president, or other senior strategy & operations leader with 20+ years of experience managing strategy & ops teams and coaching individuals. (Coaching certification is a plus but not required).
  • Someone who wants to translate people leadership skills into meaningful coaching skills.
  • Passionate about helping people advance in the workplace and build fulfilling careers and lives.
  • Self-aware, with a high emotional IQ, and committed to creating a safe space for others to be vulnerable.
  • Excited about growing your coaching skills and bringing a growth-mindset to the experience.
  • Comfortable working in a constantly-changing startup environment.
  • Able to dedicate a minimum of 12+ hours per month to coaching at Mento for at least the next 24+ months.

Other Details

  • Employment Type: Contract
  • Compensation: Paid per hour, with potential for select bonuses incentivizing engagement with membership and community growth.
  • Time Commitment: A minimum of 3-5 hours per week, regardless of other commitments. A minimum commitment of 24 months is required to build meaningful relationships with members.
  • Location: Fully remote. Candidates must be based in Europe and speak English.
  • Focus: Part-time growth opportunity for experienced senior leaders looking to expand their coaching skills.
