Springboard is seeking passionate and experienced mentors to join our Strategy and Insights for Data-Driven Executives workshop program. This program provides transformative online education in data science, UI/UX design, machine learning, and coding. We are looking for mentors from top organizations (e.g., McKinsey, Bain, Capital One, Lyft, Square) to guide students through a project-based curriculum and provide career advice. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to Springboard's mission of bridging the skills gap and helping learners transition into their dream jobs.

Requirements

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience as an executive or extensive experience working with executives in a strategic capacity.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think about problems in a business context and use data to back up claims.
  • Curriculum Proficiency: Proficiency in the topics covered in the curriculum, including data analysis, strategic planning, effective communication and presentation, visualization, storytelling and storylining.
  • Commitment: Ability to dedicate a minimum of 1 hour per week to mentor students.

Responsibilities

  • Provide weekly 30-minute video calls to students to discuss questions, project work, and career advice.
  • Collaborate with students on a group project throughout the 8-week course.
  • Engage in a weekly engagement session with an engagement manager to review group project progress.
  • Serve as a resource for students on data-driven strategy development, identifying trends, opportunities, and risks.
  • Craft data-driven recommendations for executives and create compelling narratives.

  • Completely online
  • 8-week course in which students complete a group project

  • Students go through the curriculum on their own
  • Students will participate in a weekly engagement session with an engagement manager to go over their collaborative group project
