The position requires an account executive who is a skilled communicator for first engagements and discovery calls, analyzing prospect needs to qualify opportunities. They must be proficient in understanding and presenting the value of SailPoint solutions compared to competitors like Microsoft, Okta, and Saviynt. The role demands the ability to provide a superior customer experience, competitively position solutions and broader value propositions including partner services, and lead virtual teams comprising partner resources, presales, partner managers, deal desk, professional services, BVA teams, and customer success. The candidate must be able to create territory or opportunity plans and work with the leadership team to refine sales strategies.
The Account Executive will exceed revenue quota goals quarterly and yearly, effectively address customer and partner inquiries with accurate information and tailored solutions, and develop business plans aligned to their assigned territory. They will strategically engage with customers and business partners to maintain a high level of customer service, collaborate with marketing on plans through/with partners and end users, and pursue all supplied leads while ensuring internal systems are updated. The role involves leading appropriate technical resources to demonstrate SailPoint's advantages, following up with customers and post-sale teams for consistent account coverage and new sales opportunities, and owning all aspects of the sales cycle including qualifying, presentations, demonstrations, RFP responses, negotiations, and closing. Additionally, they will foster a deep understanding of the territory, including customers, prospects, partners, influencers, and competitors, and understand/communicate competitive and complementary product and technological strategies. The candidate must effectively initiate, navigate, and manage discussions across all levels of a customer's organization and utilize all channel management and reporting tools accurately.
