Requirements

  • Admin level OS knowledge: VMware, Unix Systems (Solaris, HP-UX, AIX, Linux), and Windows
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Storage systems, Storage Area Networks (SAN), Network Attached Storage (NAS) environments, and/or Backup Systems and software
  • Experience with Fiber Channel, Brocade or Cisco Fabric switches, and HBA
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly developed organization skills with the ability to multitask
  • Experience in troubleshooting in a technical environment
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Software and hardware knowledge of computing, storage, and peripheral devices
  • Superior customer service skills for remote support delivery
  • Bachelor of Science or Technical Degree with relevant technical experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience in similar technologies
  • Minimum of 3 years working with enterprise-level, mission-critical customers with complex environments

Responsibilities

  • Provide Remote Hardware/Software Phone and Electronic Support
  • Resolve complex hardware and software issues related to Storage, SAN, and Hosts
  • Perform real-time remote system review along with detailed diagnostic log review
  • Coordinate onsite repair
  • Identify and duplicate product defects and compatibility issues
  • Manage elevations, including coordination with Engineering and Product Development teams
  • Create technical documentation in CRM and Knowledge Base tools
  • Share knowledge through Training, Mentoring, and Collaboration with peer support groups
  • Partner with Sales Pursuit teams to identify revenue opportunities
  • Proactively assist customers in avoiding problem reoccurrence
  • Demonstrate flexibility in working hours
