Candidates should possess 7+ years of experience as a product designer, including at least 2+ years in a B2B SaaS company. They should have experience in a leadership role, bringing a design voice to cross-discipline initiatives and building trust between the design practice and other teams. Experience conducting User Experience Research activities and design sprints independently is required, along with a robust portfolio showcasing iterative software work with a strong focus on the Discovery phase. Furthermore, candidates must be comfortable with all aspects of the design process, including research, low and high fidelity design, rapid prototyping, and contributing to a Design System, and they should have experience working in complex and ambiguous spaces, particularly related to digital analytics, data science, machine learning, or similar.
The Staff Product Designer will partner with cross-functional teams to frame problems, shape UX strategy, and contribute to user engagement and growth by iteratively designing, shipping, and measuring solutions. They will own and execute design across the entire product development lifecycle, bringing an entrepreneurial spirit of informed research and experimentation. This role involves participating in customer calls to understand their needs, elevating the user experience through design reviews, contributing to the design system, and advocating for loveable products. The designer will also clearly communicate design rationale and iterations to partners and stakeholders, and they will contribute to strategic thinking around connecting the UX to business outcomes, identifying and conducting appropriate UXR activities, and representing UX within the triad with less support from design partners.
