Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in a design-related field such as Digital Design, Interaction Design, or Visual Communication Design. A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in visual or digital product design with a proven track record of shipping digital products and experiences is required. Familiarity with Figma, modern user testing tools, and experience with complex design systems are also necessary. Exceptional portfolio showcasing excellence in interaction design, visual design, and information architecture is essential. Strong verbal and written communication skills are needed to simplify complex ideas for diverse collaborators. A learning and growth mindset is expected to foster a culture of critique and collaboration. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States, as sponsorship for employment visa status will not be provided.

Responsibilities

The Design Lead will be responsible for leading the product design process from discovery through delivery, including sketching, prototyping, testing, and refining digital experiences. They will contribute hands-on design work to ensure the delivery of intuitive, inclusive, and well-crafted digital experiences for patients and healthcare providers. This role involves providing mentorship, guidance, and critique to maintain high design quality across concepts, prototypes, and shipped products. Collaboration with cross-functional partners in product, engineering, brand, legal, and regulatory teams is crucial for delivering a cohesive, human-centered experience. The Design Lead will articulate design decisions and rationale persuasively to various stakeholders, including executive-level audiences, to ensure program alignment. They will also determine when to proceed with ideas and when to pivot based on user insights and evolving circumstances.
