Requirements

Candidates should possess a degree in technical communication, engineering, journalism, or have comparable work experience, with over five years of experience as a technical writer, preferably in data integration or a similar software domain. Proficiency in DITA, Oxygen Author, GitHub, GenAI, Confluence, Figma, Jira, Snagit, XML, REST API, HTML, and CSS is required, along with familiarity with the development and information evolution processes. The role demands the ability to grasp new technical concepts quickly, work in a nimble, iterative environment, and demonstrate strong organizational and decision-making skills based on analysis and data. Excellent communication, empathetic listening, and bidirectional communication skills are essential, as is comfort with ambiguity and fast-evolving products.

Responsibilities

The Senior Technical and UX Writer will develop technical content, including micro content, contextual help, help articles, API documentation, how-to tutorials, release notes, and short videos, to enhance the user experience with SnapLogic's data integration platform. Responsibilities include writing and editing in-product content for feature discovery and user education, leveraging Generative AI and tools across the DDLC, and developing content strategies for scalability. The role involves transforming complex technical information into easily understandable language, managing multiple projects, conducting content audits, usability analyses, and gap analyses, and collaborating with UX designers, UI engineers, developers, QA, and product managers. Additionally, the writer will peer review content, own aspects of the documentation process, and optimize current systems.
