Requirements

Candidates should possess at least six months of experience in a similar support role, along with prior customer or client-facing experience, ideally in a high-growth startup environment, and technical experience from a coding bootcamp or software engineering role. They must demonstrate the ability to understand and translate technical language between clients and engineering teams, experience with REST APIs, and a proven capability to explain API knowledge, as well as creatively apply API functionality to solve use cases.

Responsibilities

The API Support Engineer will serve as the first line of support for AssemblyAI customers, assisting with API integrations and proactively checking in on existing customers, act as the 'product expert,' answering technical questions via live chat, Slack, and email, manage the ticketing system and act as the liaison between customers and engineering teams for bug reports, feature requests, and technical issues, update and improve official documentation, contribute to SDKs, and build/maintain third-party integrations, and notify customers about new features and product updates, as well as collect valuable feedback.
