Candidates should possess over 10 years of experience in designing, implementing, and supporting scalable enterprise data center and remote office networks with enterprise-class routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers. They must have 10+ years of experience with OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, and multicast routing protocols, Voice Over IP, and QoS configuration on routers and switches in enterprise environments using IPv4 and IPv6. Additionally, 5+ years of experience is required in AWS network design and implementation support in multi-region/AZ/VPC cloud and hybrid cloud environments, utilizing AWS VPN, Direct Connect, transit gateway, VPC peering, Network ACLs and security groups, ELB, Route 53, and other AWS networking elements. Five or more years of experience configuring, managing, and monitoring Palo Alto Networks firewalls using Panorama is also necessary.
The Sr. Network Engineer will design, implement, and validate solutions for complex cloud, data center, and remote office network engineering problems, adhering to established network and security architecture standards. They will monitor network infrastructure and traffic, identify problem areas, and recommend improvements for network infrastructure and performance based on current and projected enterprise network footprints. This role involves collaborating with enterprise stakeholders on network architecture, expansion, and optimization, and documenting problem statements, project requirements, design details, and project status, issues, risks, and constraints clearly and concisely. The engineer will create and maintain graphical and written documentation of network architecture, infrastructure, and technical standards, create, maintain, and follow standard team technical processes, and provide tier-3 support for critical network incidents involving multiple global teams. They will also resolve customer service and break/fix tickets efficiently, prepare clear written plans and execute scheduled network maintenance, and prepare and deliver professional presentations to technical and non-technical audiences. Subject matter expertise will be provided to functional project teams, and participation in cross-team major initiatives is expected, along with mentoring junior Network Engineering personnel.
