Requirements

Candidates should possess excellent communication skills and the ability to read, understand, and write Terraform and Cloudformation. Proficiency in Python or Golang is required, along with the capability to present complex technical topics to non-technical audiences. Experience managing modern firewalls on cloud properties and writing technical documentation such as standard operating procedures and system requirements is essential. A deep working knowledge of cloud networking standards is also necessary.

Responsibilities

The Senior Network Security Engineer will manage cloud network primitives using code-forward approaches with tools like Terraform and scripting languages such as Go and Python. This role involves managing Flock's firewall infrastructure, architecting and building client and customer VPN infrastructure, and designing/implementing network security boundary protections for cloud environments, primarily AWS. Responsibilities also include managing web application firewall infrastructure, partnering with hardware engineering teams to deploy secure networking solutions for edge devices, automating network management tasks, embedding security in the development lifecycle, and responding to security incidents as a subject matter expert, including performing root cause analysis.
