Requirements

Candidates should possess extensive experience in network engineering, including LAN/WAN, firewalls, switches, routers, wireless, and VPN. Familiarity with cyber security practices, standards, and tools relevant to OT/IT, lab, and R&D environments is essential. Strong problem-solving and investigative skills in complex operational settings, with a focus on minimizing downtime and ensuring operations continuity, are required. A demonstrable ability to work independently on executional tasks and projects with limited supervision is necessary. Effective communication and teamwork skills, with experience in global and matrixed organizations, are important. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred, and industry certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, CompTIA Security+, or CISSP are a plus. Experience leading or mentoring technical staff and a willingness to grow into people management responsibilities are also desired.

Responsibilities

The Lead Operational Technology (OT) Network Engineer will implement secure, segmented, and resilient network solutions across manufacturing, lab, and R&D operations. This role involves configuring, testing, and optimizing network infrastructure, investigating and resolving complex network connectivity issues, and applying cyber security standards to network implementation. Responsibilities include leading monitoring, segmentation, and access controls for OT, IT, and lab/R&D network integration, collaborating with cyber operations teams on threat detection, and assisting in incident response and business continuity for network-related security issues. The engineer will partner closely with IT, OT, and lab/R&D teams to complete projects, build relationships across functions and geographies, and contribute to a collaborative team culture. They will operate independently on tasks and projects, potentially evolving into a people management role, mentoring peers, and representing the network engineering function in discussions. Continuous learning and innovation are expected, including staying ahead of emerging network and security technologies and proactively seeking opportunities to improve standards, processes, and architectures. Up to 50% travel to global sites for implementation and support is anticipated.
