Requirements

Candidates must possess over 5 years of experience in AWS Cloud networking and developing AWS cloud infrastructure. They should have a strong working knowledge of leading AWS cloud security practices related to networking and be proficient in developing Infrastructure-as-Code using tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation. A minimum of 3 years of project experience in an external client-facing software development and/or cloud engineering environment, as well as 3 years of experience supporting work delivered in a cloud environment (AWS, GCP, Azure), is required. Demonstrable knowledge of Agile and Waterfall SDLC methodologies is essential. The role requires the ability to work with multiple clients in parallel and maintain an Eastern Standard Time Zone schedule, with up to 25% travel to client sites. AWS certifications such as AWS Networking Specialty, Developer Associate, or Sysops Administrator are also required.

Responsibilities

Cloud Network Engineers will design and implement cloud networking infrastructure on AWS, including deploying VPC resources, Transit Gateways, VPC peering, and AWS Direct Connect connections. They will deploy, test, diagram, and document network environments, and utilize Infrastructure-as-Code for repeatable infrastructure deployment. Responsibilities also include establishing network operations visibility through VPC flow logs and load balancer logging, configuring AWS cloud infrastructure for technical and budgetary efficiency, and supporting customer migrations from on-premises to AWS environments. This involves assisting in migration plan development, advising on networking changes, and executing hybrid networking configurations. Engineers will also support rigorous project governance through daily progress reviews, accountability, and transparent, responsive communication with team members.
