Responsibilities

  • Develop assigned retail channel strategies and retailer growth plans
  • Lead development of offline retail channel strategies and priority through understanding key account needs and drive execution of franchise/category strategies
  • Achieve business goals & objectives, maximizing long-term health of key retailers while maintaining differentiation and uniqueness
  • Develop retailer roadmaps with category team and align licensee product line/exclusivity
  • Formulate retailer growth plan and incremental programs
  • Account for channel/retailer financial achievement and resources management
  • Lead channel/retailer financial goals setting, resources allocation, and drive execution
  • Fully accountable for assigned retailer financial goals and delivery of account strategy
  • Responsible for retail investment budgeting, decision-making, tracking, and reconciliation in partnership with Marketing & Category team and Finance
  • Develop retailer relationships and identify business opportunities
  • Develop best-in-class relationships with retailer (buyers, planners, other functions) and key licensees to drive Disney business and achieve financial growth targets
  • Where appropriate, create joint business plans with retailers to track success
  • Identify category and brand gaps at assigned retailers and partner with Category and Marketing team to assess opportunity and establish business plan
  • Create scalable and innovative marketing programs and trade calendar based on category AOP, marketing plan, account strategies, and retail moments
  • Partner with Creative for (or request bespoke) assets to secure promotional activity, retailer assets (digital & physical), and licensee participation/placement
  • Pitch, execute, and support licensee sell-in for retail programs
  • Secure & execute programs to achieve AOP and deliver on account plans/strategies
  • Pitch retailers with tentpole, evergreen, own-able programs, and multi-year strategic plans to improve sell-in position
  • Maximize sale thru to allow for incremental and sustained sell-in
  • Drive process/timing & action across internal teams & with licensees against programs
  • Work with retailer, licensee, category, and creative teams to secure brand excellence in retailer space both in-store and digital
  • Conduct program and initiative recaps and share learnings/findings
  • Lead weekly retail team meetings and information sharing/dissemination
  • Perform weekly analysis of retailer business, assess opportunities and risks, and pivot to provide recommendations/gap analysis
  • Support and motivate individual development alongside driving overall channel team effectiveness and progressive ways of working
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of retail industry trends, competitors, opportunities, and threats; make actionable recommendations to Sr. management
  • Effectively communicate retailer/channel needs and program execution learnings to inform internal strategic decision-making on product, trends, creative
