Requirements
Bachelor’s degree
11-15+ years of successful technical implementation, production management, process engineering, technical sales, or field sales support experience
Up to 50% overnight travel required
Must have a valid Driver's License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering
Experience in Process Engineering in the Refining Market
Ability to lead, develop and motivate team members in situations where needed
Ability to quickly establish technical credibility and form interpersonal relationships
Experience with process instrumentation and industrial automation systems
Other languages proficiency (Spanish, other)
Responsibilities
Provide on-site support for customers in the NA region, including retention of existing business and sales process support
Assist with optimization and troubleshooting of Nalco Water technologies in customer operations
Lead audits, investigations, and continuous improvement efforts within existing customers, documenting value creation
Work with local sales engineers to audit and assess customer operations to identify opportunities for Nalco Water chemical and digital technology to improve efficiency, reduce costs, maximize productivity, and improve product quality
Develop detailed trial plans by assessing historical operational data, including criteria for success, real-time data acquisition, and key performance indicators
Provide plant trial support by working with Technical and Operations staff to advise on changes/adjustments and optimize performance
Assist with post-trial data analysis, conclusions, and recommendations
Work with Marketing team to identify and evaluate customer needs and opportunities as part of the Innovation process
Collaborate with R&D team throughout technology development, including lab testing and plant trials
Assess the full value of new technology during commercialization
Interact with Industry Associations (e.g., AFPM/Refcomm/AMPP, COQA/CCQTA) by attending conferences, participating in round table discussions, presentations, and panels to identify industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs
Lead internal training for Sales personnel and customer-facing training as a process expert
Participate in internal technical networks, including experience exchange and white paper writing
