Employment Type: Full-time Location Type: Remote (Pacific or Central Timezone) Target Annual Compensation: $124k - $142k OTE (salary + commission)

Position Overview

Tines, a leading orchestration, automation, and AI platform, is seeking a Solutions Engineer I to join our pre-sales team. You will partner with Account Executives and sales leadership to evangelize Tines' no-code automation solutions, educate customers on their business value, and demonstrate how Tines integrates with existing technology stacks to solve problems without coding. The ideal candidate understands customer business pains and can showcase Tines' ability to deliver rapid value.

Responsibilities

  • Develop deep knowledge of Tines no-code automation and apply it to customer security and IT operations challenges.
  • Create and deliver compelling presentations to prospective customers and alliance partners, highlighting Tines' value and differentiation.
  • Build and demo Tines Stories with customers to demonstrate value and secure sales.
  • Manage the technical decision-making process with customers, including setting and managing expectations during proof of concepts and evaluations.
  • Collaborate with Sales to identify key use cases and support competitive account strategies.
  • Support the enablement of Tines’ priority channel and technical alliance partners, assisting their pre-sales engineers in customer engagements.
  • Provide market feedback to the product organization.
  • Contribute to the knowledge base by sharing customer experiences, technical competitive insights, and creating new Tines automation stories.
  • Assist the Solutions Engineering team in developing metrics and refining SE operations into best practices.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a pre-sales, sales engineering, or technology delivery role at a SaaS company.
  • Strong technical background with experience working with APIs.
  • Curiosity to learn new cloud technologies.
  • Experience in the security and/or IT industry.
  • Proven ability to uncover customer needs.
  • Experience delivering compelling demos and winning technical evaluations.
  • Proficiency in communicating with both business and technical audiences.
  • A passion for learning, openness to feedback, and dedication to client success.
  • Project management skills and the ability to deliver customer solutions.
  • Analytical skills to derive actionable insights from complex data.
  • A startup mentality and ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
