Requirements

The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience in a customer-facing Solutions Engineer or Sales Engineer role within networking or security software, with proven experience co-owning pipeline and influencing quota outcomes with Sales. A deep understanding of zero-trust networking, secure connectivity, and IAM integrations (SSO, SAML, OIDC) is required, along with hands-on architecture experience with AWS, GCP, and/or Azure. Strong networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, routing, and firewalls, coupled with excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to translate technical features into business value, are essential. Experience thriving in high-growth or startup environments is preferred, and candidates based on the West Coast (Pacific time zone) are preferred.

Responsibilities

The Commercial Solutions Engineer will partner with Account Executives to identify, qualify, and close new Commercial customer opportunities, leading technical discovery, solution architecture, demos, and Proofs of Concept to accelerate decision-making. This role involves guiding complex multi-stakeholder deals by aligning technical and business objectives, and providing structured feedback to shape the product roadmap and go-to-market strategy. Additionally, the engineer will build scalable enablement resources, demo environments, and solution blueprints for the SE team.
