Candidates should possess 7-8 years of industry experience with a minimum of 5 years in a pre-sales environment, outstanding presenting skills for both technical and executive audiences, and broad experience with large-scale Database and/or Data Warehouse technology, ETL, analytics, and cloud technologies such as Data Lake, Data Mesh, and Data Fabric. Hands-on expertise with SQL, SQL analytics, and Python is required, along with the ability to connect a customer’s specific business problems with Snowflake’s solutions and to perform deep discovery of customer architecture frameworks. A university degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience, is preferred, and a Master’s degree in Data Science or Business Administration is a plus.
As a Snowflake Sales Engineer, you will present Snowflake technology and vision to executives and technical contributors at prospects and customers, work hands-on with prospects and customers to demonstrate and communicate the value of Snowflake technology throughout the sales cycle, immerse yourself in the ever-evolving industry to maintain a deep understanding of competitive and complementary technologies, collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to improve Snowflake’s products and marketing, and ultimately close business.
