  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Salary:
    • Zone 1 (NYC Metro): $220,000 - $275,000 OTE
    • Zone 2 (Other major cities): $195,000 - $250,000 OTE
    • Zone 3 (All other US): $185,000 - $235,000 OTE *OTE includes base pay and commission. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Benefits include RSUs, health, vision, dental insurance, and mental health benefits.

LaunchDarkly is seeking a talented Sr. Solutions Engineer to serve as a trusted technical advisor to Enterprise prospects and customers. This role is crucial to the Enterprise sales strategy, supporting new customer acquisition and existing customer expansion. The ideal candidate will have multi-vertical expertise, excel at active listening, solution building, and possess deep technical expertise with a customer-centric approach.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical lead in the sales process, from discovery and demos to proof-of-concepts (PoCs), and partner with Customer Success & Professional Services to drive expansion.
  • Translate complex requirements into actionable technology solutions.
  • Conduct customer-facing presentations, demonstrations, and white-boarding sessions.
  • Partner with account executives to develop and present compelling technical proposals tailored to business and IT objectives.
  • Establish credibility and become a trusted advisor with prospects through meaningful engagement.
  • Build internal champions to help win deals within specified timelines and pricing.
  • Act as a liaison between clients and internal product/engineering teams to ensure feedback is incorporated into product development.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of company products, integrations, and industry trends within various verticals.
  • Lead or support technical responses to security questionnaires and RFPs.
  • Travel as required for customer meetings and industry events.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in a customer-facing solutions engineering, sales engineering, or systems architecture role.
  • Working knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure & Google Cloud).
  • Experience leading and documenting proof of concepts and building technical and deal champions.
  • Experience with security and compliance frameworks such as PII, PCI, HIPAA.
  • Strong technical background in areas like SDLC, cloud architecture, or DevOps.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
