  • 3+ years significant HR or employment law experience in region
  • Fluent in English and Fluent on negotiation level in French
  • Very strong knowledge and experience in French Labor law
  • Experience in collaborating with unions and works councils
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, ideally a degree in Business, Human Resources, Legal or related field
  • Demonstrated excellence in customer relations and building strong and influential relationships
  • Problem solving skills and proactive service orientation
  • Proven ability to drive programs, lead people through change and meet deliverables in a complex environment
  • Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the country liaison for all Workplace Practices (WP) matters in France
  • Closely interact and align with Business Facing and other HR entities in France
  • Design and drive or coordinate Workplace Practice initiatives for France
  • Act as hub to coordinate Work Council (WC) / Union information/negotiation on international projects and initiatives across France
  • Steer France-wide WC negotiations and information
  • Ensure very close exchange and alignment in all WC interactions with BFHR in France
  • Provide overall oversight on all inner-France information/negotiations
  • Ensure very close exchange and alignment in all WC/Union interactions with Business Facing HR in France
  • Develop or enhance processes to leverage efficiency in the way we co-operate with WCs
  • Consult the Business and local BFHR on WC relations (advise on difficult situations)
  • Prepare input for the EWC for French projects
  • Conduct WC education training and updates
  • Provide Training and Education on French Co-determination rights and Bargaining Agreements (for BFHR and Business)
  • Assess and monitor Union/WC risks and develop mitigation strategies together with BFHR and other relevant stakeholders
  • Support EMEA and global WP on projects addressing compliance of HR processes in general
  • Support business teams and BFHR on bigger restructuring/RIF projects
  • Loop in the right stakeholders for restructurings/RIFs
  • Apply best practices, design standards and checklists to lean the restructuring/RIF process
  • Monitor and track success and completion of restructurings/RIFs, monitor collateral impact of different initiatives
  • Assure that HR Compliance is applied
