Requirements

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or Industrial Automation or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in management and operations in manufacturing or related field
  • Strong knowledge of automation, warehousing, and business processes
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to motivate cross-functional or cross-facility groups
  • Regularly interacts with executives and customers to influence and drive operational excellence
  • Ability to work independent of supervision following maintenance procedures and manuals
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to climb steep stairs and navigate automation structure
  • Ability to work near high railings and at heights up to 45 feet, including within restrictive areas of 24 inches
  • Capable of working in temperatures ranging from 105°F to 32°F
  • Ability to wear PPE (hard hat, safety vest, steel toes, eyeglasses, ear protection, fall protection) at construction sites
  • Frequent ability to lift items weighing up to 50lbs and move items weighing up to 80lbs
  • Ability to stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours, reach with hands and arms

Responsibilities

  • Ensure safety commitments in compliance with OSHA, Symbotic, and customers’ processes and procedures are met daily
  • Manage a team of hourly and salaried employees to support customers' hours of operations
  • Execute standard operating procedures to drive performance enhancements, adjusting to changing business conditions
  • Ensure proper staffing of all functions for the established operating pattern, including training, development, setting goals and objectives, and evaluating performance through reviews
  • Coach the team to respond effectively to issues/problems in the system
  • Develop standards, processes, procedures, and documentation for dealing with specific problems
  • Train and enhance the performance of team members; regularly assess performance
  • Train and motivate employees to exceed customer expectations
  • Communicate regularly with local customer management team and teams at Symbotic headquarters
  • Monitor system performance, report on trends of problems, and present solutions
  • Monitor and provide defined KPI reporting based on contractual agreements
  • Conduct accident investigations per company guidelines, make findings, and document them
  • Other duties as assigned
