Candidates must possess a minimum of three years of professional experience in creative/graphic design or production within an agency setting. Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud software, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat, is essential, with Adobe certification being preferred. HTML proficiency, strong typographic skills for both print and digital channels, and the ability to create high-quality CMYK or RGB images are required. A solid understanding of print production concepts such as dot gain, color separations, trapping, Pantone to CMYK conversions, imposition, and retouching is necessary. Candidates should also demonstrate detail orientation, strong organizational skills, a commitment to quality control, and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple quick-turn projects. Experience working across Mac and Windows platforms and excellent communication and diplomacy skills are also required. A portfolio is mandatory.
The Production Designer will support the Design Team by executing print project designs, repurposing existing artwork, and revising existing design deliverables. They will prepare production-ready files for digital work according to specifications, pre-flight all production files to ensure quality, and QC files for correct elements. Responsibilities include correcting inconsistencies and mistakes in art files, such as typesetting, scaling, color corrections, and page sequence revisions. The designer will take direction from the Print Lead Designer, meet deadlines, and work with the Print Management team and Vendors to troubleshoot production issues. They will ensure all files are correct and final before archiving, provide technical guidance to meet production specifications, and maintain and update assets in the appropriate system.
