Division Summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific's Chemical Analysis Division (CAD) provides a diverse mix of analytical instruments and associated services to a broad range of end-user markets including Pharma, Chemistry, Environmental, Food Safety, Energy, Life Sciences, Recycling, and Academia, to name a few. Its instruments are deployed in Process Monitoring, R&D, and Quality Inspection, where customers put a premium on accuracy, adaptability, reliability, and ease of use. CAD is a complex division with a global footprint, broad product portfolio, and diverse customer base.

Business Unit Specific Information

Our Environmental and Process Monitoring (EPM) unit specializes in gas analysis using optical and mass spectroscopy for process monitoring and pharma process analytical technology (PAT), alongside environmental monitoring solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Represent our company in a positive, professional manner when collaborating with Thermo Fisher Scientific customers, both external and internal.
  • Lead your bookings results and run your territory with a balanced approach between direct sales and channel partners.
  • Actively lead your funnel of sales opportunities by CRM compliance and sales forecast calls.
  • Own the sales process from pre- to after-sales support and build strong, long-term relationships with your customers and channel partners.
  • Participate in trade fairs and coordinate workshops, seminars, and related events.
  • Report market trends and customer requirements into the organization.

Keys to Success

Education

  • Bachelor or university degree in chemistry, physics, or related field.

Experience

  • Work experience in industrial B2B field sales and/or channel management is preferred.
  • Alternatively, working experience in chemical or pharmaceutical process monitoring/gas analysis business and/or environmental monitoring.
  • Additional experience with SFDC is helpful.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • In-depth knowledge of gas analysis methods and applications.
  • Experiences in the process monitoring / PAT business.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, both written and oral.
  • Proficient in German and business English; additional EU languages are an asset.
  • Customer focus, intercultural competence, and a professional attitude.
  • Pro-active demeanor and hands-on mentality.
  • Willingness to travel in the region, approx. 50% of time.
  • Valid driver's license.
