Requirements

  • Expertise in Innovative Medicine, particularly Immunology products for immunological disorders
  • Strong knowledge of reimbursement, account efficiencies, processes, and cost issues impacting sales
  • Ability to assess sales opportunities and develop strategic plans and training on a state-by-state basis
  • Proficiency in payer policies, reimbursement regulations and processes (eligibility/benefit verification, pre-authorization, billing, coding, claims, appeals/grievances)
  • Understanding of practice management, Medicare, and Medicaid rules and regulations
  • Experience serving as a resource on local, regional, and national levels regarding reimbursement and payer issues
  • Ability to partner internally with sales force (Area, Regional, National management), Sales Training, Marketing, Corporate Accounts, Government Accounts, Advocacy, and Medical Affairs
  • Capability to partner externally with Physicians, physician office staff (office managers, clinical staff like RNs, LPNs/LVNs, NPs, MAs, PAs), billing staff, hospital administrators, CFOs, billing/collections staff, and clinical staff
  • Leadership skills as a People Leader in Pharmaceutical Sales (Immunology, Commission-based)
  • Willingness to cover West Coast region: Washington, Oregon, California, Montana, Idaho, Utah, Nevada, Arizona

Responsibilities

  • Lead the West Coast region to expand sales of Immunology products in line with company policy and sales direction
  • Utilize professional education and marketing programs to drive sales
  • Assess sales opportunities hindered by reimbursement, account efficiencies/processes, or cost issues at Site of Care facilities
  • Develop capabilities and training to facilitate sales growth specific to Site of Care facilities (IOI, HOPD, ITPs, ASOC) across the region
  • Reinforce and sell corporate programs
  • Partner with District Managers in all aspects of JJIM portfolio promotion, pull-through, and reimbursement
  • Provide solutions to key decision makers at IOI, HOPD, ITPs, and ASOC
  • Assess needs on a state-by-state basis and build rep/field skills through strategic plans and training
  • Serve as a resource on payer policies, reimbursement regulations/processes, practice management, Medicare, and Medicaid rules on local, regional, and national levels
