Position Overview

Energy Solutions is seeking a strategic and visionary Senior Director committed to driving operational excellence, best-in-class program delivery, and transformational business outcomes. The Senior Director of Energy Efficiency will serve as a key member of the senior leadership team, reporting directly to the Vice President of Energy Efficiency. This role is responsible for providing strategic direction and overseeing all aspects of program delivery across the East Region, while collaborating closely with senior executives and departmental leadership to advance company goals.

Energy Solutions operates as a predominantly remote workforce with offices in six different locations. Employees who reside within 40 miles of an office (except New York) will be assigned to that location, though in-office attendance requirements may vary by team.

Responsibilities

• Helps develop and execute long-term strategies that position the company as an industry leader, while aligning with organizational goals, objectives, and operational constraints.
• Oversees program operations within the East Region, ensuring alignment with corporate priorities and financial targets.
• Manages a diverse project portfolio, ensuring all initiatives remain on scope, schedule, and budget, through effective oversight of Directors and Assoc. Directors.
• Leads regional budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting in collaboration with the Finance Team.
• Maintains deep awareness of industry trends, policy developments, and emerging technologies.
• Represents Energy Solutions as a visible thought leader through client engagement, industry conferences, and participation in key industry boards and forums.
• Fosters strong, collaborative relationships with clients, partners, trade allies, and internal stakeholders.
• Identifies opportunities for increased efficiency and productivity to help offset annual cost increases and improve margin.
• Serves as a change agent, guiding teams through transitions and driving organizational improvements.
• Directly oversees and mentors senior leaders such as Directors and Associate Directors.
• Recommends and oversees recovery strategies for underperforming teams or programs, tracking progress against defined performance goals.
• Builds and sustains high-performing teams through thoughtful recruitment, talent development, and employee engagement.
• Supports the growth and development of direct reports through coaching, mentoring, and performance management.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 15 years’ experience leading successful high-performing multigenerational teams.
