Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, and have at least 7 years of experience in DevOps engineering. Strong experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is required, along with proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Bash. Experience with CI/CD tools, infrastructure as code (IaC) technologies, and containerization platforms like Docker and Kubernetes is also necessary.
The Senior DevOps Engineer will participate and help lead release planning efforts, collaborate with Digital Producers to outline deployment plans, manage deployments for routine fixes and updates to applications, implement, manage, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines, update and help improve build and deployment processes, understand the infrastructure needs of stakeholders and translate them into technical requirements, participate in architecture reviews, create supportive documentation, provision new infrastructure, assist in building and maintaining highly available systems, provide technical support related to hosted environments, perform root cause analysis for production errors, investigate and resolve technical issues, automate and improve development and release processes, ensure systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats, operationally support existing cloud infrastructure, collaborate with stakeholders on governance and security best practices, set up and configure cloud infrastructure for all web projects, create/maintain IAC templates, set up and configure code repositories, set up and configure CICD pipelines, monitor and troubleshoot CICD systems, attend and facilitate production release meetings, take responsibility for all web related production deployments, monitor the health of production workloads and applications, troubleshoot and resolve issues with code pipelines, attend meetings with internal and external teams to discuss project requirements, support developers with ad hoc DevOps requests, contribute to scoping and estimating DevOps related tasks, and take on special projects.
