Requirements

Candidates must possess at least 5 years of related IT experience, including knowledge of server operations, infrastructure, web interfaces, and remote access tools. Experience supporting Microsoft environments in a deskside support role is essential, along with familiarity with Microsoft Office versions, Windows/Linux/Mac OS, remote support, PC/printer hardware, VPN, Citrix, Active Directory, and mobile device support. A strong understanding of ITIL Incident Management, the ability to diagnose and solve technical issues independently, and proficiency with ServiceNOW are also required. Knowledge of network security practices and anti-virus programs, coupled with excellent problem-solving and multitasking skills, are necessary.

Responsibilities

The Senior Deskside Consultant will assist customers with queries related to supported software, hardware, and computing platforms in a professional manner. Responsibilities include configuring, deploying, maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting computer workstations, laptops, printers, mobile devices, phones, and other computer and telecommunications equipment. This role involves installing PC, laptop, tablet, and mobile hardware and software, monitoring desktop infrastructure performance, and planning for improved efficiency. The consultant will also troubleshoot and diagnose problems, resolve Tier 1 incidents according to service catalog specifications, and escalate Tier 2 incidents as required. Additionally, they will install applications and computer peripherals, track and escalate outages, and conduct remote troubleshooting.
