Field Applications Engineer - AI Datacenter Solutions

Position Overview

NVIDIA is seeking an outstanding Field Applications Engineer (FAE) with a focus on datacenter system and network design for AI computing. This role is for a specialist in system design, networking, and a leader to our customers who are working to deliver world-class datacenter platforms and AI solutions. NVIDIA's AI solutions have a major impact and are broadly used across leading academic institutions, start-ups, and industry, including the world's largest enterprise companies. Salary

The base salary range is $160,000 - $304,750 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Be a technical specialist on networking and datacenter products directly supporting sales account managers.
  • Work closely with the team to deliver outstanding AI datacenter solutions.
  • Solve complex hardware and deployment issues.
  • Provide onsite support for large datacenter deployments of NVIDIA AI solutions.
  • Actively establish the technical relationship with our customer’s engineers, management, and architects at focus accounts.
  • Identify customer architectures and key product requirements in the enterprise AI market.
  • Provide technical and sales training to the direct sales team and channel partners.
  • Establish strong relationships and communication channels with internal teams.
  • Technical engagement for OEM networking design-in and integration into large datacenter deployments of NVIDIA AI computing systems.
  • Work across functions within our organizations while also ensuring a positive experience for external customers.

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience).
  • 10+ years of work-related experience in the high-tech electronics industry in a system design role or technical customer support role.
  • In-depth knowledge of servers, storage systems, network devices, and other data center hardware.
  • Capable of working in a constantly evolving environment without losing focus.
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a multifaceted environment.
  • Expert analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong time-management and organization skills for coordinating multiple initiatives, priorities, and implementations of new technology and products into very sophisticated projects.
  • Expert written and oral communication skills in English with the ability to effectively collaborate with management and engineering.

Ways to Stand Out

  • In-depth knowledge of Infiniband, Ethernet, or similar networking solutions.
  • Experience with large-scale rollouts of datacenter equipment.
  • Networking knowledge: TCP/IP, RDMA, RoCE, NICs, Switches, etc.
  • Embedded Linux System, APIs, and similar embedded OS knowledge.
  • Experience working with OEMs in the industrial, military, and ruggedized computing space.
