Requirements

Hands-on technical expertise in software engineering, including developing microservices, libraries, and data pipelines
Experience with technical design, implementation, and evolution of platform services using modern tooling such as Terraform, Docker, and cloud-native patterns
Proficiency with data stack tools including Databricks, Airflow, dbt, and managing Datalake (ingestion, storage, governance, privacy)
Ability to work closely with Insights, Analytics Engineers, Data Scientists, MLOps, MarTech, and other Data Engineering teams
Strategic thinking to architect, build, and scale data platforms with self-serve capabilities
Experience leading technological initiatives with end users (data scientists, ML engineers, analytics engineers, product engineers)
Knowledge of data as a product practices, data observability, governance, batch and streaming infrastructure, and exploration tools

Responsibilities

Pave a path for data as product by championing data as a first-class citizen and introducing robust data observability and governance tooling
Develop microservices, libraries, and data pipelines
Implement and evolve platform services that enable teams to work with data efficiently and securely
Lead technological initiatives with end users to enable, support, and accelerate their data needs, embracing a platform as product attitude
Uphold operational excellence by automating infrastructure and monitoring, leading incident response and root cause analysis, and continuously improving the health and performance of the data platform
Take ownership of data transformation and orchestration tooling (e.g., Airflow, dbt), batch and streaming infrastructure, and exploration tools (e.g., Databricks)
Manage Datalake including ingestion, storage, governance, and privacy
Build and promote self-service tools and data best practices across the organization
