Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum 5 years of direct new business sales experience in the institutional financial markets, preferably in the FI space and/or with an information services provider
  • Proven track record and a hunter type mentality with a strong desire to explore new opportunities
  • Strong ability to communicate with clients clearly and effectively, with strong presentation skills
  • Strong personal integrity and a confident, positive manner; entrepreneurial mindset

Responsibilities

  • Carry an individual sales target and generate new revenue from white space and existing clients in the financial corporate segment (commercial lending, investment management, investment banking, insurance, government institutions)
  • Conduct client sales meetings, diagnose client needs, design and deliver solutions, and proactively engage clients through cold calling campaigns and marketing strategies
  • Optimize revenue by prioritizing opportunities, set up follow-up training sessions, and deliver product demonstrations and presentations
  • Identify key decision makers and influencers, develop and nurture deep and strong relationships with client organizations, and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Provide timely end-user problem resolution (technical, product, or content related)
  • Generate new contract documents, process sales orders, and coordinate the new deal process with product management, Legal, and Finance teams
  • Utilize CRM system (Salesforce.com) to maintain opportunity pipelines, lead management, and log sales activities
  • Contribute to the business strategy by staying up-to-date with key industry news, events, macro/market trends, regulations, and the competitive landscape
