As a Sales Engineer at Acronis, you will collaborate closely with the Sales Team to execute pre and post-sales activities, driving Cloud and On-Premise business within the Middle East region. Your role will be crucial in driving the adoption of Acronis' products and solutions by articulating their strengths, understanding customer requirements, and matching solutions to achieve successful outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Deliver presentations on Acronis' technology and solutions to customers, partners, and public audiences.
- Facilitate and manage customer evaluations and proof-of-concept (PoC) activities for Acronis' solutions.
- Position compelling solutions that address customer business problems, going beyond specific technical requirements, and act as a technical advisor.
- Produce written proposals and technical responses to RFIs and RFPs.
- Conduct hands-on demonstrations and knowledge transfer of Acronis' solutions to customers, channel partners, and cloud partners.
- Conduct remote and on-site PoCs of Acronis solutions.
- Support existing channel and cloud partners with technical queries.
- Develop customer solution proposals and supporting documentation for review by customers and Acronis management.
- Provide customer and market input to Product Management, Engineering, Customer Service, and other relevant Acronis groups.
- Maintain knowledge of major industry developments and handle customer inquiries on these matters.
Requirements
- 7 or more years of experience as a PreSales/Sales Engineer or in a similar customer-facing technical role.
- Experience supporting internal sales, partners, and the customer ecosystem with solutions related to:
- IT Security software: Endpoint Security, Email Security, VA and Patch Management
- Backup, Disaster Recovery, and Storage solutions.
- Cloud and Managed Service Provider focused solutions.
- Technical Knowledge:
- Good understanding of IT storage software and computing architectures, including networks, operating systems, and applications.
- Good working knowledge of Virtualization and Cloud technologies.
- Good knowledge of the IT security industry (Endpoint Security, Email Security, Vulnerability Assessment) with the ability to evaluate competitive strengths and weaknesses.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft and Linux operating systems.
- Knowledge of SaaS and IaaS based technologies (e.g., Microsoft o365 and Azure, Google Gsuite, Amazon AWS).
- Knowledge of Databases (e.g., SQL, Oracle, MySQL).
- Knowledge of Microsoft applications (e.g., Active Directory, Exchange, SharePoint).
- Understanding of software and hardware specifics in Industrial Automation environments.
- Ability to translate customer business requirements into technical solutions that deliver genuine business benefits.
