About the Role

A Sales Engineer at Doppel serves as the technical linchpin of the sales process, combining deep product expertise with strategic sales acumen to drive revenue growth. This role requires a professional capable of translating complex technical specifications into compelling business value propositions, ensuring alignment between customer needs and organizational offerings.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Engineers collaborate closely with Doppel Account Executives to identify customer pain points, design tailored solutions, and articulate the technical and financial benefits of Doppel’s Platform and Modules. They lead the technical discovery process and the development of detailed technical success criteria, conduct product demonstrations, and manage the technical aspects of requests for proposals (RFPs) and requests for information (RFIs). By maintaining an in-depth understanding of Doppel’s product portfolio, Sales Engineers ensure accurate cost estimates, risk assessments, and post-sale technical support, fostering long-term client relationships.

Core duties include:

  • Technical Sales Support: Partnering with sales teams to strategize deal execution, deliver client-facing presentations, and address technical inquiries during negotiations.
  • Solution Design: Analyzing customer requirements to recommend product configurations or modifications, ensuring compatibility with existing systems.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Liaising with R&D, Operations, and Engineering teams to communicate client feedback and influence product development roadmaps.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitoring industry trends and competitor activities to refine sales strategies and maintain a competitive edge.

Required Qualifications

  • Mission-focused, team-oriented, and customer-obsessed mindset.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent experience in this role.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years in technical sales, preferably within SaaS, software manufacturing, cyber security, military intelligence, digital risk protection, or threat intelligence role.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in automation is essential.
    • Ability to distill technical jargon into accessible language for non-technical stakeholders.
    • Strong analytical skills for evaluating customer workflows and proposing ROI-driven solutions.
    • Expertise in prototyping, proof-of-concept development, and post-sale implementation support.

Preferred Attributes

  • Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., OSCP, AWS, Microsoft Azure) or sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDIC, SPIN).
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales quotas in enterprise-level deals or delivering integration projects on time and on budget.
