Health Plan Account Executive

Position Overview

Twin Health is seeking a strategic and driven Health Plan Account Executive to play a critical role in driving strategic relationships and revenue growth with health plan partners. This role involves managing existing accounts, expanding key relationships, and identifying growth opportunities through consultative selling and deep industry expertise. This is a high-impact role ideal for someone with a strong background in managed care, health insurance, or digital health partnerships.

Responsibilities

  • Own a portfolio of prospective health plan clients and develop strong, consultative relationships with key decision-makers (e.g., C-suite, senior management, clinical, product management, innovation teams).
  • Manage the end-to-end sales cycle - from initial discovery to contract signature - for regional and national health plan opportunities.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients by helping them leverage products and services to drive better clinical outcomes, member experience, and total cost-of-care savings.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams (e.g., Product, Implementation, Clinical, Compliance) to ensure successful onboarding, integration, and ongoing client satisfaction.
  • Stay up-to-date on healthcare policy, payer trends, and competitor activity to provide strategic insights and feedback internally.
  • Support contract negotiations, RFP responses, and ensure regulatory alignment (e.g., CMS, Medicaid, ACA Exchange plans).

Qualifications

  • 3–6 years of experience in business development within the health plan, payer, or managed care space.
  • Successful track record of meeting growth targets.
  • Strong understanding of health insurance models (commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, Exchange).
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills across clinical, operational, and executive stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth, mission-driven environment.
  • Proactive, organized, and metrics-driven, with strong CRM hygiene (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with digital health, population health, or value-based care solutions.
  • Familiarity with provider networks, member engagement programs, or care navigation platforms.
  • History of selling products.
