Requirements

Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius of Raleigh, NC, and be able to respond to customer sites within one hour. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with a Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred. A minimum of 4 years of experience in managed services within a laboratory setting is necessary. GxP experience and knowledge of IATA/DOT regulations and OSHA General Industry requirements are advantageous. Strong leadership, supervisory, and interpersonal skills are essential, along with a basic understanding of employment and labor laws. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, professional demeanor, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are also required.

Responsibilities

The Regional Supervisor will lead a team of customer-facing personnel, overseeing services such as order management, stockroom operations, material handling, chemical tracking, glass washing, media preparation, and cell culture support. Responsibilities include managing the employee lifecycle, from selection and training to performance evaluations, and ensuring contractual scope of work is delivered. The role involves developing and tracking business metrics, acting as a liaison between customers and Thermo Fisher Scientific, writing and implementing SOPs, conducting inventories, and identifying opportunities for service expansion. Additionally, the supervisor will drive process improvement initiatives, support safety programs, and conduct hazard identification and incident investigations.
