Sales Engineer - Life Science

Candidates should have at least 3 years of architecture experience building, consulting to, and/or implementing technology for Life Sciences business units and/or Life Sciences Companies. A Bachelor's Degree is required, with a Master's Degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or related fields, or equivalent experience preferred. Strong understanding of life sciences data topics, overall industry challenges and opportunities, and experience with technical and design direction including large-scale database and/or data warehouse technology, ETL, analytics, and public cloud technologies are necessary. Familiarity with Data Science & Machine Learning concepts and applications in the Life Sciences industry, as well as key sources of enterprise data and technologies, is expected. Excellent presentation skills for both technical and executive audiences are required.
The Industry Architect will work side-by-side with Snowflake’s strategic customers, partnering with sales, marketing, product management, industry principals, and channel partners to create compelling solution offerings. They will identify industry trends, technical requirements, and gaps to partner with product management for prioritization. Responsibilities include driving repeatability by creating life sciences specific technical selling assets such as reference architectures, use cases, solution points of view, demos, and customer case studies. The architect will collaborate with Global and Regional System Integration partners to define Snowflake centric offerings for the life sciences industry and enable the AE + SE communities of practice on industry trends, partner capabilities, and solution offerings. They will also contribute to and participate in industry marketing activities like webinars, conferences, and blogs.
