Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree and have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) sales or account management. Previous experience in broker management and national or regional account headquarters is required, along with strong communication and technical skills in office applications like Excel and PowerPoint. Proven negotiation success, the ability to meet travel requirements, and a willingness to relocate for future opportunities are also necessary. Candidates must reside within one hour of a major airport in the Central Region. Experience with Joint Business Planning, center store (food), calling on national accounts, and proficiency in syndicated data sources like IRI/Nielsen are preferred.
The Regional Sales Manager will serve as the Sales Account Manager for strategic Central Region Grocery Accounts, managing sales goal delivery, customer Joint Business Plans, and all aspects of the sales process. Key responsibilities include delivering top-line sales, managing a trade spending budget, achieving market share goals, and meeting net profit targets. This role involves developing and implementing plans to drive brand/category growth, managing business development, building relationships with the sales broker team, monitoring sales execution, and leading negotiations for new items and key initiatives. The manager will also drive brand share growth, build collaborative relationships with internal cross-functional teams, support the Supply Chain team, and own the creation and execution of the company business plan and customer Joint Business Plan. Additional duties include performing in-depth analysis of sales and profit components, managing internal sales systems, effectively managing trade budgets, and driving business process improvements.
