Position Overview

At Graza, we are dedicated to making delicious, fresh olive oil accessible for everyday use. Our unique squeezable olive oils – Sizzle, Drizzle, and Frizzle – are available in over 15,000 retail locations across various channels nationwide. We are seeking a Senior Trade Manager to join our Sales team and spearhead our trade planning, tracking, and execution. This role is crucial for building the systems and processes that will enable smarter investments, faster operations, and a stronger presence in every retail channel. From TPM implementation to promotional planning and ROI tracking, this position offers full ownership of the trade function and will be instrumental in driving Graza's next phase of growth.

Role Purpose

The core purpose of this role is to build and own the trade function at Graza. You will lead the development of account-level and national trade programs, manage promotional calendars, and ensure our trade investments are optimized for maximum impact. Collaboration with Sales, Finance, Demand Planning, and Marketing teams is essential to align trade strategies with company goals and ensure seamless execution in the market. You will also be responsible for improving our tracking, analysis, and optimization of trade performance through enhanced systems and strategic planning.

Responsibilities

Trade Strategy & Planning

  • Build annual and promotional trade plans by account and channel.
  • Align trade strategy with brand objectives, pricing, and commercial targets.
  • Manage the trade planning process across various teams and timelines.

Retail Program Development

  • Design and manage trade programs, including promotions, displays, and merchandising.
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing on in-store activations and campaign alignment.
  • Create tools and resources to support the Sales team's execution of the trade plan.

Budget & Investment Management

  • Own trade spend forecasting and tracking by customer.
  • Monitor spend performance and recommend adjustments to maximize impact.
  • Lead the implementation of a Trade Promotion Management (TPM) system and facilitate its adoption across the team.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with Sales leads to align on promotional plans and customer needs.
  • Partner with Demand Planning to ensure accuracy of promotional volumes.
  • Support monthly business reviews and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) with trade insights and recaps.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Track performance using POS, syndicated, and internal data.
  • Build reports and tools to help the team measure trade effectiveness.
  • Identify opportunities to improve ROI and optimize operational processes.

Requirements

  • 5-7+ years of experience in trade strategy, trade marketing, or related CPG roles.
  • Strong understanding of retailer promotions, trade mechanics, and customer planning.
  • Proven experience managing trade calendars and spend across multiple channels.
  • Comfortable owning systems, building tools, and working independently.
  • Proficiency in Excel and CPG data metrics is required.
  • Experience with TPM platforms is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across Sales, Finance, Accounting, and Operations.
  • Highly organized, self-driven, with a builder mindset and a bias for action.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for team collaboration.
  • Preference will be given to candidates who can work hybrid 4 days per week from our Brooklyn, NY or Austin, TX offices; however, remote candidates will be considered.
