Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of experience leading successful sales teams and a minimum of 8 years of successful direct sales experience. Experience navigating complex sales cycles of 2-6 months, building relationships with C-level executives, and consistently shaping seven-figure deals is required. MEDDPICC expertise, experience with ROI and cost modeling, and strong organizational, prioritization, and time management skills are also necessary. A background in technical applications and familiarity with open-source software are considered a plus.
The Regional Sales Director will lead a team of Account Executives to drive revenue growth, retain and attract new talent, and expand the customer base within their assigned territory. Responsibilities include developing and executing sales strategies, mentoring the sales team, and strategically partnering with various organizational groups. This role involves guiding the team through a consultative sales approach, articulating product value, building prospect relationships, and assisting with deal closures. The director will also be responsible for developing and mentoring the sales team, developing a pipeline to exceed revenue targets, directing sales activities by establishing territories, quotas, and goals, building an annual sales plan, meeting with prospects, strategizing with sales representatives, preparing for QBRs and HBRs, developing long-term strategic relationships with key contacts, and strategically partnering with Marketing, Solution Engineers, R&D, and Customer Support.
