Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering
  • Proven experience in transmission line construction with a strong focus on stringing operations
  • Familiarity with Australian Standards, utility guidelines, and relevant industry codes
  • Strong project management, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement detailed stringing project plans, schedules, and methodologies in alignment with overall construction programs
  • Supervise and coordinate stringing operations, ensuring safe and efficient installation of conductors, earth wires, and OPGW
  • Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation measures to ensure milestones are achieved
  • Enforce compliance with safety protocols, environmental requirements, and quality standards during stringing operations
  • Manage budgets and resources effectively, including the tracking of costs and preparation of progress claims where required
  • Resolve technical issues related to stringing equipment, methods, and alignment tolerances
  • Prepare project documentation, including method statements, inspection test plans, risk assessments, and daily/weekly progress reports
  • Develop a program for the scope of works including staging
  • Create (or review) a crane lifting plan including any temporary works associated with ground conditions and lifting beam
