Strong familiarity with contracts related to planning and scheduling is essential, along with proficiency in Primavera P6 and other project management software. Candidates must also have the ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications, experience in developing metrics for project performance analysis, and possess excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for effective teamwork.
The Project Controls Engineer will develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6, ensuring alignment with project milestones and deliverables. They will assist in monitoring project costs, budgets, and forecasts, and support the implementation of cost control measures. The role involves interpreting contracts related to planning and scheduling to ensure compliance with contractual obligations. They will review and interpret construction drawings and specifications to support effective project planning and execution. Additionally, the engineer will create and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess project performance and progress, prepare and present regular reports on project status, schedule performance, and potential risks to project management and stakeholders, and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and coordination. Risk management is also a key responsibility, including identifying potential risks and proposing mitigation strategies, while contributing to the continuous improvement of project controls processes and tools.
