Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or GED, with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management preferred. A minimum of 5 years of experience estimating large-scale hyperscale data center projects is required, along with expertise in the structured cabling/low voltage industry and large-scale project estimating. Proficiency in Bluebeam is mandatory, and familiarity with AutoCAD/BIM360 is preferred. RCDD certification is also required. Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project), attention to detail, problem-solving, multi-tasking, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
The Hyperscale Estimator will prepare comprehensive and accurate cost estimates for hyperscale data center projects, covering labor, materials, and engineering. This role involves collaborating with sales and project management to ensure estimate accuracy and project transition, as well as analyzing blueprints and project documents to identify inconsistencies and participate in estimate reviews. Additionally, the estimator will identify potential risks, manage scope changes, submit change orders, and develop detailed bid submissions including cost data, risk factors, and material pricing.
