Requirements

Candidates must have at least 3 years of product management or related experience in technology or financial services, strong product intuition, and experience building platforms or APIs. Business-level fluency in both Japanese and English, written and verbal, is required, along with the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders without direct authority. Familiarity with Japan's brokerage, trading, or capital markets is highly preferred, as are excellent problem-solving, analytical thinking, and communication skills. A technical background working with APIs is a plus.

Responsibilities

The Product Manager will serve as the voice of the Japanese customer, deeply understanding and articulating local needs, pain points, and market opportunities. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams in the US and Japan to define and execute the product roadmap for Alpaca's Japan platform, translating product concepts into detailed specifications and driving execution with engineering. Responsibilities include partnering with the Japan BD entity for client discovery and technical discussions, owning metrics for platform adoption and usage in Japan, and driving initiatives to improve client success and engagement, ensuring compliance with local regulations and market practices.
