Product Manager Role Summary

As a Product Manager, you'll work side by side with our executive, product, engineering, design, marketing, sales and analytics teams to help millions of people each year fill their jobs or get hired. You must be strategic as well as eager to roll up your sleeves: as a ZipRecruiter Product Manager, you’ll both drive product and business strategy as well as dive into every detail of our product and your projects. Be ready to spend your time building relationships with our users, digging into our analytics, working with cross-functional stakeholders, and making sure that no job goes un-done.

Key Focuses

  • Work with engineering, design, marketing and operational teams to plan, build, and launch high quality product experiences that improve the way employers hire
  • Gather feedback from internal stakeholders, external partners, and users to inform product decisions and strategy
  • Process, review, and interpret large bodies of qualitative and quantitative data on customer usage patterns to uncover new product insights
  • Be an internal advocate, educator, and communicator about the products you own, including storytelling around the technical aspects and business impact of those products and product features
  • Write specs, manage project execution, A/B test, and define product roll-out strategy

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in product management, product marketing, strategy consulting, or related roles
  • Proven experience managing complex, cross-functional projects
  • Strong data analysis skills to drive customer and product insights
  • Experience collaborating closely with cross functional teams (ex: engineering, design, decision science teams)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with or developing AI-driven products or platforms
  • Experience working in the B2B (SMB and Enterprise) product contexts
  • Market analysis, pricing & packaging, and / or monetization strategy experience
  • Prior experience running end-to-end product experiments and bringing new products to market

Compensation & Benefits

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $140,000-$165,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location, and the range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location, role-related knowledge and skills, depth of experience, relevant education or training, and additional role-related considerations. Depending on the position offered, equity, bonuses, commission, or other forms of compensation may also be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
